Before there was a boutique, there was a broken locket.
It had belonged to Chloe’s grandmother and carried the tiny marks of a life well lived. When its clasp finally gave way, James took it to his small workbench. Night after night, he cleaned the metal, repaired the hinge, and restored every detail without erasing the years that made it special.
When James placed the locket back in Chloe’s hands, she cried. Not because it looked new, but because it still felt like her grandmother. In that moment, we understood what we wanted to create together: jewelry that carries a feeling, remembers a person, and stays close through every chapter of life.
In 1998, we opened our first little shop with a borrowed workbench, a secondhand display case, and our modest savings. Chloe sketched and selected pieces inspired by the stories people shared with us. James finished each detail and repaired the treasures customers could not bear to lose.
Over the years, people returned with photographs and new stories. A necklace had been worn on a wedding day. A bracelet became a daughter’s graduation gift. A ring helped someone feel like herself again after a difficult year. Those moments became the true heart of Chloe & James Jewelry.
Now, after nearly three decades working side by side, James’s hands are ready for a gentler rhythm, and Chloe is ready for mornings that begin without a list of orders waiting. Choosing to close our boutique has broken our hearts a little, but it also gives us the chance to begin one last chapter together.
Our Final Closure Sale is our farewell and our thank-you. We hope every remaining piece finds a home, marks a moment, and carries a new story long after our doors close.
— Chloe & James

Chloe guided the feeling behind each piece, while James gave every clasp, stone, and finish his patient attention.

We prepare every order together, knowing it may hold a birthday, a promise, a thank-you, or a memory.

The jewelry leaves our hands when we close the box, but its meaning begins with you.
